~18 people were in attendance. An astrophysicist set up the oscilloscope to show soundwaves dancing. Some people brought bread-board synthesizers that made impressive noises. As I was talking to one of those biologists who frequents Foulab, we noted how many other biologists were on hand and they made the observation that 'everything is analog'. They weren't talking about sound production.
